Volunteering is a great way to give back to the community, meet likeminded people, and help us bring the event industry back to life after a couple of difficult years. Get involved on Sunday, 18 September 2022.
We are looking for you!
As a Blackmores Volunteer you will be working with event staff, charities, community and sporting groups, students, and other individual volunteers. Volunteers are needed in a wide range of roles at numerous locations around the 42.125km of course on event day (Sunday, 18 September 2022) as well as in the lead up to event day at the ASICS Event Expo (Thursday, 15 September to Saturday, 17 September 2022).
No experience is required for most roles – just positive energy, a friendly attitude, and willingness to work within a team and take directions from other volunteers, team leaders, and supervisors.
- Event Date: Sunday, 18 September 2022
- Pre-Event (ASICS Event Expo): Thursday, 15 September to Saturday, 17 September 2022
- Event Times: Volunteer shifts are approximately 6-8 hours and fall anywhere between 4:30am – 1pm (pending role and location).
You will be able to choose your preferred role/location. We will do our best to allocate accordingly – however, we cannot always guarantee first preferences. Find details of event roles and locations below.
ASICS EVENT EXPO
At the ASICS Event Expo participants collect their race bib, browse official merchandise, running equipment, partner offers and drop off their event day bag to access post-race.
Multiple shifts will be available across the three days of expo.

The course covers 42.195km of road throughout Sydney with volunteers posted at various locations, including the start/finish/recovery venues and on course.
